Kompas

Refund policy

Last updated: 2025-04-27. Version: 2025-04-27. Applies only to Kompas Pro on Kompas Cloud. The free desktop build does not generate charges, so refunds do not apply.

7-day free trial. Kompas Pro starts with a 7-day free trial that does not require a credit card. The trial ends automatically unless you continue with a paid plan; nothing is charged unless you choose to subscribe.

Subscriptions. Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel from your billing settings or via the Stripe customer portal at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep access until then.

Subscription refunds. Subscription refunds are evaluated case by case through our support team. We do not commit to a fixed refund window beyond what local law requires. We process all approved refunds via Stripe; bank settlement timing is set by the issuer.

Top-ups. Credit top-ups (manual or automatic) are non-refundable once added to your balance and are treated as consumed digital credit, similar to platform consumables. In exceptional cases (for example, a charge made in error), our support team may issue a discretionary refund through Stripe; this is not a guaranteed right.

Korea. Kompas Pro is charged in USD; your bank or card issuer converts the charge to KRW at its own rate and may add foreign-transaction fees. For consumers resident in Korea, the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce grants a 7-day cooling-off right for the unused portion of paid services. Where this applies, we honor the statutory minimum and refund the unused portion in USD; the KRW amount you receive after bank conversion may differ from the amount originally charged due to FX movement. Top-up credits already consumed do not qualify.

European Union and EEA. Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), consumers ordinarily have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services. By starting Kompas Pro and consenting to immediate access during checkout (the explicit consent step before redirecting to Stripe), you waive the 14-day right of withdrawal as permitted by the Directive. If you do not give that consent, the 14-day right applies and you may withdraw within 14 days for a full refund of the unused portion.

How to request a refund. Email support through the contact channel listed on the Contact page. Include your account email and the date of the charge. We will respond within 5 business days.

Disputes and chargebacks. We prefer to resolve refund questions through support before a chargeback is filed. A chargeback filed without first contacting us may delay the resolution because the case moves to your card network.

Changes. We may update this policy. Material changes are versioned and announced; the version applicable to a given charge is the version we asked you to consent to during that checkout, recorded in your Stripe invoice metadata.
